Resources for Career Practitioners

The Petroleum HR Council of Canada (the Council) has developed a number of presentations and information materials to assist educators, teachers, career/employment counsellors and parents with valuable oil and gas career information.

United Way Career Presentations

The United Way is funding the Bridging Information Gaps between the Petroleum Industry and Immigrant Labour Supply project, which supports the attraction and development of immigrants in the petroleum workforce by delivering labour market and immigrant-specific information to immigrant-serving agencies in Calgary.

For more information on attending a United Way presentation, please contact Kristin Street, Project Manager, at 403-516-8121 or kstreet@petrohrsc.ca.

Rich with Potential: Practitioner's Guide

As part of the Career Awareness program, the Council created the Rich with Potential: Practitioner's Guide package for key influencers such as career practitioners, counsellors and teachers. This package includes an overview of Canada's oil and gas industry, as well as information on the careers available by job family and a set of references and tools to help key influencers when working with clients.
