The Decade Ahead publication was created after a 12-month
national, human resources study of the upstream petroleum industry
that analyzed the workforce (demographics, skills and supply and
demand) and assessed the key human resources challenges facing the
industry through 2012.
Results
In October 2003, the Petroleum HR Council released The Strategic
Human Resources Study of the Upstream Petroleum Industry: The
Decade Ahead.
Subsequent to the publication of The Strategic Human Resources
Study of the Upstream Petroleum Industry: The Decade Ahead, updated
East Coast information became available to the Petroleum HR
Council.
The update includes revisions to production numbers and the
"occupations in demand" charts for the East Coast (both Nova Scotia
and Newfoundland and Labrador).
