Council Projects
The Petroleum HR Council's strategy for value creation consists
of several, multi-year initiatives and has three key elements:
- We work with partners to develop strategies, solutions,
products and services to address the industry's short, medium and
long term workforce issues;
- We facilitate the exchange of ideas and information to promote
an understanding of, and responsiveness to industry workforce
issues; and
- We provide industry-related information on workforce issues and
utilize our expertise to increase the profile of the industry and
its career opportunities.
Stakeholder engagement and feedback is a critical component to
the work of the Petroleum HR Council. It is the foundation on which
the Council was built and helps ensure project success.
Projects are guided by volunteer steering and advisory
committees comprised of national stakeholders from industry,
government, education and training institutions, employee groups,
unions, and diversity. Additional stakeholders are consulted
through research phases.
